From Builder's Gray to COLOR!!!!!

After years of renting and apartment living we had become very used to "Builder's grey" and Beige. So of course during our home search, the home we loved was painted with the all too familiar grey we had been starring at for years now. So that had to change. And Fast!

We decided to be brave in our living room (and my son's room, by his choice) and went with my husband's choice, orange.

In our Kitchen, bonus room, office, and breakfast room we used a green. Which I have to say is my absolute favorite color in the entire house!

Both our Bathroom's are painted in a brown. Not Beige, but a deeper, lighter caramel brown. Preservation Line.

We also used two paint colors in our Dining Room and Breakfast Room below the chair rail. Our Master Bedroom is also painted in this color.

Here are some pictures.

KITCHEN (AFTER PAINT) SOMEHOW LOST MY BEFORE PICS
You can also see my Breakfast Room in Pic below. I originally
Painted the entire wall green then decided to add the
brown under the chair rail.

This Picture below still has old Tin Back splash that the previous owners
put up. We have since removed it and add a Tile and Stone
Mosaic Black splash. (Will add a post about it soon)

Sign Says "I only have a kitchen because it came with the house!)
Really fits me! :)

That gives you a picture of every color we used in our home. Don't be afraid of color. I know a lot of people who are. I have countless friends come over and express how much they wish they were brave enough to use color on their walls. Just remember if you put up a color and do not like it you can always change it. It's the easiest thing in the world to do to your house to get rid of that "Builder's Grade" feel. It is a easy and cheap way to "Custom up" your house!
